General Job Requirements:

The Newport Mansions Store located on Bannister's Wharf is looking for a Store Manager. The Store Manager will oversee all aspects of the Bannister's Wharf Newport Mansion Store. This includes but is not limited to scheduling and managing of staff, enforcement of policy and procedure, reordering and maintenance of merchandise, inventory and breakage items, coordination of merchandise displays, responsibility to achieve budget goals and proper opening/closing of the Newport Mansion Store. Must be able to multi-task and establish priorities. Specific duties within the Sales Department may be adjusted based on the tourism / attendance period.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Education Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of documented retail management, retail sales and cash-handling experience.
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently, self-manage time and priorities.
  • Ability to manage stress and maintain perspective and balance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate computer systems, credit machines and cash machines
