Food and Beverage Concierge (Seasonal) Newport Gurney's Newport Resort & Marina

General Job Requirements:

BASIC PURPOSE:
To assist guests with information and reservations for all the different food and beverage outlets at the resort.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Answer telephone and take reservations using professional language.
  • Answer questions regarding and/or making arrangements for dining, cabanas, the pool, Firepit areas and all other F&B outlets.
  • Keep accurate and timely records of all arrangements made.
  • Answer all questions concerning directions to availability
  • Maintain current information and materials regarding the hotel’s dining outlets
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the city and all its attractions
  • Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Insures an atmosphere of good public relations
  • Constant communication with Front Desk department.
  • Maintain all common areas in safe and neat condition by correcting problems as they are encountered
  • Maintain the Service Desk area
  • May be required to perform additional departmental duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Education: High School diploma orequivalent
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years hotel experience
  • Skills and Abilities: Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
    Computer literate
    Strong Communication Skills
    Strong Customer Service Skills
    Strong Problem Solving Skills
