Pastry Manager Pawtucket Seven Stars Bakery

General Job Requirements:

This is a leadership position responsible for the development and operation of their team to support one of the most critical factors in our success, pastry quality. The Pastry Manager should be a creative, motivating professional who will contribute to prep work, pastry baking and mixing, but who won't be afraid to delegate to their team. This position reports to the Head Baker. The Pastry Manager must have a positive attitude and enthusiastic personality as well as a demonstrated ability to work cohesively with staff and with other managers and supervisors. As Pastry Manager, you are responsible for providing direction, training, and the development of employees. The Pastry manager will manage all aspects of pastry production to meet the goals set forth by the Head Baker as well as assist in all areas of the department including hiring of staff, maintenance of building and cleanliness of bakery.

Education Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience as a baker in a professional setting, required
  • 2+ years experience managing a team
  • Exceptional communication skills, organizational, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Has experience with laminated doughs, required
  • Has an upbeat attitude and is a self- starter
  • Full availability which includes early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • SERVSAFE Certification is a plus
  • Baking and Pastry or Culinary degree or certificate preferred
